Perspectivas - Journal of Political Science is an online double-blind peer reviewed journal published by the Research Center in Political Science (CICP), a R&D unit belonging to University of Minho and University of Evora (both Portuguese Institutions) supported by the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology (UID/CPO/0758/2019) and the Portuguese Ministry of Education and Science through national funds. Perspectivas has an open source publishing system (see Open Journal Systems).
The journal publishes submissions from established academics as well as early career researchers whose work may bring unpublished, innovative and significant theoretical, conceptual, methodological and empirical contributions to the fields of Political Science, International Relations and Public Management and Policy. Perspectivas accepts original articles which are not under consideration elsewhere at the time of submission.
Policy for non-original articles
As norm, the Journal does not accept for publication as originals, articles that have been published elsewhere in languages different from that of submission. However, articles published elsewhere (regardless of original language) may be exceptionally considered by the Journal, provided that the authors state clearly in the submission form that the article is not an original and prove to have permission to reproduce copyright material (see more information in Copyright Policy).
The Journal welcomes proposals for Special Issues. Proposals for organising special issues should be sent directly to email@example.com
Book reviews may be submitted at any time. They may be up to 1000 words, and follow the journal's editorial style (see Guidelines for Authors).
Peer Review Process
Perspectivas is committed to guaranteeing quality of articles. Hence, every manuscript is submitted to a double-blind peer review process.
Perspectivas Ethics and Malpractice Statement
Perspectivas is committed to guaranteeing ethics in publication and quality of articles. Conformance to standards of ethical behavior is therefore expected from Authors, Editors, Reviewers, and the Publisher. To know more please see our Guidelines for Ethical Behaviour.
